Conditions Treated

Are you a pet owner who lives in or near Los Lunas, NM? You have a veterinarian near you at Arrow Animal Hospital. We treat all kinds of conditions, including the ones below.

Parasites

The New Mexico environment is great for things like fleas and ticks, among others, to thrive. They can cause a variety of conditions in cats, dogs, and other animals. Heartworms are something else to worry about. We can help your pet feel well again and get them to where they are parasite-free.

Cancer

Dogs and cats can also be susceptible to eyelid tumors. While many of them can be benign and just left alone, sometimes they are malignant. If that's the case, treatment can be a lot more involved, including the possible removal of an otherwise healthy eye. This will reduce the chances of it metastasizing. There are other cancers to worry about, but this is one that you can see right in front of you in the form of bumps on your pet's eyelid.

Eye Infections and Eye Injuries

Both of these can be very serious for your pet and could even lead to the loss of its eyesight. If you bring them in, we can examine their eyes and come up with a plan to help them see again. It's important to do it quickly, though. There are times when these situations are true veterinary emergencies. If you wait too long, it could lead to irreversible complications. If you see redness or discharge in the eye area, visible damage, or they are rubbing their eyes, bring them in to a vet or an animal hospital.

There are other things that we do, including pet dental care, vaccines, getting rid of fungal infections like ringworm, and regular pet wellness checks. The last one is like a physical exam for humans, and these should be done on a yearly basis when the animal is young and then every six months when it's older.

You love your pets and want them to live their best lives. So do we. That's why we're glad to offer these services at very fair rates. We're ready to help your pet.
